Sub-Contract Exchange is sponsored by Development Commissionerate (Small Scale Industries), Government of India, New Delhi-110 011.

Sub-Contract Exchange is the prestigious project of KSSIA. Its 1st phase has been commenced last year and the 2nd phase is also now implemented.
It is a fully computerized set-up enlisting its registered members from KSSIA and all major Departments, Public Sector Organization in India link with DGS&D, Railways, Defence, ISRO etc.

Registration Act XII of 1955 - S. No. ER. 276/87 - on 24th June 1987

KSSIA has set up a testing centre under the name of Small Industries Products Quality Insurance Centre with the Assistance of IDBI, SIDBI to test and certify the products of industries especially Small Scale Industries. The Laboratory has four branches ie: Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical & Drugs & Pharmaceuticals. Government of Kerala approved this laboratory to conduct the test of G.L.S.Lamps and Electrical appliances.

Land & Building.
The Government of Kerala was kind enough to allot 29.75 cents of land in HMT Ancillary Industrial Estate,

Kalamassery, Ernakulam District. It is planned to have multistoried building in the above site to house the testing centre as well as office complex.

Present Stage of Construction: The Basement floor of this building having plinth area of 7000 Sq.ft. is completed.

Financial Assistance: IDBI sanctioned financial assistance for purchase of equipment.
